Water Saving Suggestions

 

 

  • Check all faucets, pipes and toilets periodically for leaks.

  • Install water saving shower heads.

  • Take shorter showers or take a bath.

  • Try a navy shower --- get wet, turn off the water, soap, scrub, then turn on the water to rinse (approximately 4 gallons).

  • Check into a low-flow toilet or place a brick in the tank.

  • Install high efficiency, low-flow faucet aerators.

  • Turn off the water while shaving, brushing teeth, etc.

  • Don't use the toilet as a wastebasket.

  • Run your dishwasher only when full.

  • Keep drinking water in your refrigerator.

  • Don't let water run while rinsing vegetables and dishes.

  • Defrost food in the refrigerator.

  • Select proper water level for laundry.
